In my opinion heroism means having a perfect qualities or a strong personality, it could be bravery sometimes. heroism is described as great courage (Learner 's Dictionary). Rosa Parks and Nelson Mandela were against racism, and their effort was always appreciated. Consequently, he thought he could change that through politics. After that, Nelson joined the African National Congress(ANC) to develop the conditions for colored people in South Africa. Because of what Mandela did, he and 155 protesters were arrested for five years, for betraying their country. Nelson earned respect by many people and inspired them. He never stopped fighting for his rights. He was arrested for along time, 27 years in jail. However, he became South Africa’s most powerful leader in his time.
