Title: Delayed Gratification
Introduction: Delayed gratification means taking the time to receive the best reward. This experiment studies fundamental ability to delay gratification, and if the child decided to eat the candy straightway then they would earn no prizes, however, if the child chose to wait and resist to eat candy then they would receive another candy. The independent variable is the age of the students, and the dependent variable is student ability to withstand candy.
Problem: How does your age help determine the development of your self-skills portraying delayed gratification?
Hypothesis: Freshmen and sophomores will find it more challenging to resist candy then juniors and seniors.

When they receive one candy, then they are requesting for another candy, and when did not receive two candy they become very disappointed because they want more than one candy. Furthermore, other students shouting for the candy who did not receive the candy.
My hypothesis is wrong because juniors and seniors are also struggled to resist the candy-like freshmen and sophomores. Although my hypothesis is incorrect, however, my experiment supports the psychologist conclusion on delayed gratification. According to psychologist Walter Mischel, who did the same experiment with marshmallow concludes that students who resist the marshmallow they will perform better in school and they will be very successful. On the other hand, the student who did not refuse the candy more likely they will perform poorly in school, and they had higher rates of going jail as adults and more likely struggle with drugs. This experiment shows why these kids are in normal class because they have lower self- control, they get frustrated quickly, and more likely they perform poorly in school. As a result, eating the candy showed that they did not have the willpower to delay
