Willpower When we think about marshmallow we think it just a candy and nothing else. We do not think that marshmallow can be more than a candy but it can really be more than a candy as is shown in the Marshmallow experiment. In the Marshmallow experiment they show us that marshmallow can be very useful since they use them to test children to see if they were able to resist from eating the marshmallow or not. After they test if the children resist from eating the marshmallow they will see how they will be when they grow up and how they will do in school. The result show that the children that wait for the second marshmallow will be better at school than the one that ate right away. In this experiment willpower play an important part since each child had to show if they have willpower by having the marshmallow in front of them and wait a moment without eating the marshmallow so they could get another. Each children was different because some of them could not wait, another could wait and for other it was very hard to just wait a moment without eating it. As we can see willpower can have a large role in success because it can help people with self-control. As each kid show they self-control by not eating the marshmallow they will be able to control themselves with other things. Also as is shown in the result of the test children that wait it will have a successful future; they will be able to control themselves in some situations or decisions so they think about it and do the right thing.
