Ray Bradbury who is the author of Fahrenheit 451 simulated a world, where depression causes Guy Montag to choose irrational actions. Ray Bradbury shows the reader the importance of depression by creating a character named Guy Montag, who begins to question everything he has ever known, and slowly sinks into a depression. At first Guy Montag thinks that he's a happy man, an ordinary man with an ordinary job. Everyday is the same for him, except for one day in particular, when he meets Clarisse McClellan.

The book is about a lawyer named Atticus Finch who lives in Alabama who decides to take a case involving a black man who is accused of raping a white woman. “The microsystem consists of the people with who an individual comes into direct contact and refers to immediate, proximal interactions in the person’s world” (McWhirter, 2013 p. 21). Background Information Client X is a twenty-one year old student, middle-high class white women who seemed discouraged and frustrated when she first arrived. She attends university and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Client X has a boyfriend, some close friends and lots of family, however, she still reports experiencing lots of loneliness. She believes she feels overwhelmed and frustrated with constantly being with a few people and reports high anxiety and depressive symptoms when there is no one to hang out with or talk to. She disclosed that she cries multiple times a day, and sometimes can not attend her classes or complete daily tasks because of crying.
