When someone mentions the word shortstop who are some of the players that come to mind? Is it Cal Ripken? Roberto Alomar? Ozzie Smith? Ernie Banks? Well there is one player that should come to everyone’s mind and that is Mr.November, Derek Jeter. Derek Jeter was a franchise player for the New York Yankees from 1995-2014 a span of 20 seasons in the MLB even though he was drafted right out of high school in 1992. Jeter was part of the core 4 and all around, face of the team that created the juggernaut that was the Yankees franchise from the late 90’s to the early 2000’s winning 4 world series championships.
