Therefore certain controls must be put in place. Monitoring targets can be done in a variety of different ways. Managers may support their employees by checking at regular intervals that the work is progressing, or by putting a more experienced member of staff in charge to act as a mentor. Occasionally audits, which are really checks on systems and procedures, may take place as a project is ongoing or even when it is complete.
