The book "Speak" by Luarie Halse Anderson and "Milkweed" by Jerry Spinnili are two different genres. "Speak" is a realistic fiction and "Milkweed" is historical fiction. They have many differences and some small comparisons but, when it comes down to my favorite genre realistic fiction is the one. To understand why I prefer realistic fiction over historical fiction, it is necessary to take a closer look at the comparisons and differences of the setting, conflict, and theme.
Alec Michaud Mr. Bergmann Sophomore Honors English II P6 10 October 2016 Lambeau Field, a Mark on History The ground below is rattling to the thunderous beat of rambunctious spectators with the anticipation of the battle that is set to be fought on this very field! The iconic team has many notable attributes that set them apart, but one of the most recognizable is there historic stadium, Lambeau Field.
Have you ever watched the Super Bowl on TV and see that there are so many people filling the seats at the stadium? Wilkinson, the owner of the Kansas City Monarchs, decided to organize games at night so more people could come and watch. Using six 50-foot tall portable floodlights with electric tungsten filament bulbs, Wilkerson turned this idea into reality. The attendance of Monarchs games that season tripled and a decade later, most of the MLB teams had installed lights in their stadiums. The Cincinnati Reds even invested $50,000 (850,000 in today’s money) for installing huge floodlights at their stadium. Mr. Wilkerson is today known as the ‘father of night baseball’.
As we arrived to the Dunn–Oliver Acadome Arena it began to down pour but that didn’t stop the performance of this show. A whole band entered the stadium and the crowd began to go nuts. Throughout the 1930s, Adolf Hitler rose to power and successfully became chancellor of Germany by 1933. Throughout his course as a leader, many foreign policies were planned and achieved, debatably imposed for pre-war requisites and expansion of Nazi Germany in Eastern Europe, more known as Lebensraum. Such expansions intimidated Western European countries, most importantly, the United Kingdom. By November 1937, Neville Chamberlain’s cabinet has been in office for only a brief 6 months, while Hitler had risen to an extent where he has achieved nearly absolute dictatorship and totalitarianism in Nazi Germany. Hitler began to pursue his aggressive program and act of expansion against the will and power of the British, believing them to be an envisaged and possible alliance.
There are a lot of things that you can touch that feel awesome. The smells at Oracle Arena are amazing, you can always smell the warm food from the concession stand coming into the arena. You can also smell the cleaning stuff that they use on the seats and the hardwood floors before the game, it always smells super good in the Arena.

Think Big Leagues When I play baseball with my friends I have lots of fun, but imagine what it would be like to play on a professional team. My parents dream for me is to be successful and happy, but I have had an interest in baseball since I was four years old. I remember waking up ready to go play a tournament in the fresh summer air. When I watch the games on T.V, Mike Trout always stood out to me.
For a young baseball player one of the highest goals to achieve is hitting a homerun -for me that was all I wanted. I already achieved most of what I wanted in baseball, and one of my proudest was a no-hitter, but it was no home run. When I first realized how bad I wanted this feat was one night after a practice where all we did was just hit. The majority of my teammates hit at least one homerun that practice, but me I hit the fence but never was able to send one over. The car ride home after the practice was horrible, I was a mess.
