Tanning is something that I enjoy very much. I love the feeling of the heat on my skin, as I lay there absorbing as much UV light as the bulbs will allow. Tanning is just like being a cat, stretched out on a windowsill, soaking up the mid-morning rays as they pass through the clear glass windowpane. I too stretch out, relaxed and ready to soak up the sun. However, it is not really the sun that I seek, but a bed hidden in a secluded corner room of the salon that I frequently go too. When I first climb into the bed, it is dark and quiet. I lay there in anticipation of what is to come. In a flash, the lights come on, chasing away the darkness. The bed makes a steady humming sound, as it runs the lights and fans. As the minutes tick by, the bed
