In the passage, Canty uses polysyndeton to create an exciting tone to demonstrate just how amazing and unique the Neshoba County Fair is. The author states “the table piled high with food for fifty and fifty people there to help eat it” Additionally, polysyndeton is also used in the passage to talk about how chaotic and crazy the cake walk is. Canty’s purpose for creating polysyndeton is to help portray their is a lot of exciting chaos going around the Neshoba County Fair.
The Iowa State Fair is the most influential events throughout the state of Iowa during the month of August. This is a place where one can go to experience shows, art, food, and see livestock from all around the country. Most people however, go to this fair simply to have fun. On my visit to the Iowa State Fair in the previous summer, tasting all of the different foods, quality of the rides and the positive attitude from the carnival workers highly encourages me to come back year after year.
San Diego and Phoenix have very similar winter climates, although the summers are very different. It gets a little colder at night in Phoenix, especially at night due to the lack of the ocean's marine effect. Rainfall patterns are similar as well in the winter, it's San Diego's rainy season as well as it's Phoenix's rainy season too. But San Diego averages more rain in the winter than Phoenix solely because of the coastal location giving San Diego ocean evaporation.
I read the story Hangovers by Jennifer Pashley. This was not my first option as I first tried to read The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County by Mark Twain but I gave up after reading the third paragraph. As my second option, I chose the Hangovers based solely on its intriguing title. To be honest, It´s difficult to me to say what the story is about. I would say the author describes some hangovers she had in her youth, then in a metaphor; she compares those hangovers with all the struggles that we have to face in life.
California Hall was a tremendous representation of how the people reacted to the LGBT community. It was a huge turning point for the community as a whole and helped the modern LGBT movement push on. I chose this event because I believe it was a huge precursor to Stonewall and I am sure helped lead the way to many other events that occurred within the LGBT movement. The documentary, Lewd & Lascivious, focused not only on the California Hall event but also what was going on years before and what happened after the event.
Pax East Event Entering Boston Garden, I start to the top floor for Pax East. Right as I reach the wide elevator, it lifts me to the 8th floor for. Immediately after we reach it , dim light displays really representing the Pax East sign. Being a gaming convention it is divided into 2 sections, Minecraft, Twitch, and Mario. Deciding to skip Mario I got to Minecraft first.

Everyone feels alive and adrenaline run through their body, don’t you want that same sensational feeling. (BANDWAGON). Either, you want to be bored and do adult things all your life or unlock the inner child and let it play on Space Mountain.
The interview was done with a middle-aged Australian female tourist. She visited Disneyland with her husband and children. She and her family speaks English as their mother tongue (lines 5-6). That following are some of the points that I found interesting and related to the construction of Disneyland as a tourist site. When the interviewee was asked about the use of language according to her observation, surprisingly, she pointed out Indian and Filipino (lines 18 and 20), instead of just Cantonese, Mandarin and English, which are my expected from her because these three languages are most commonly seen and heard in Disneyland.
Joy to exercise great pleasure or delight. One time I went to valley fair it was filled with joy and bright, neon ,flashing, lights. It was like heaven was in the air .I got so happy I could never be happier. There was trees everywhere and the wind blew dust in my eyes. The rides are so fun it brings happiness to my family.
