The sculpture Tabernacle from Italian Desiderio DA Settignano is an example of a Renaissance sculpture because it contains Roman barrel vaults and vanishing lines. At the base it has a christian image because of the three big halos on each personification. I strongly believe is Jesus and Mary. Jesus is laying down on his mother’s shoulders and he has a naturalistic body. You can notice a mother and son relationship. The third personification is holding Jesus arms and hands. On each side there are two elegant chandeliers with pearl necklaces falling down and floral decorations on top. It also has two children with a contrapposto pose holding a decorative base. It has two big Corinthian columns with beautiful details. You can notice the vanishing lines on the inside of the temple leading to a door with geometric decoration around it. There are four columns on each corner along with a lineal perspective. You can notice people coming from two doors, seeming as if they were praying and are standing behind each other but with some movements. Another object I noticed was the barrel vaults on each side where the people are standing and one on the ceiling. I noticed the illusion of a deeper space, where the view gets smaller the further it goes. The barrel vault on the ceiling contains floral decorations and in the middle you can see a christian man holding a book and giving preaches by the way his left hand is lifted. Again the halo is presented on this personification. There are two angels on top of the barrel vault of the ceiling. One angel has the face of a newborn baby and the other has a more mature face and it seems like there is a bird on top of his head. At the top there is the image of a child standing in some type of wine glass and with a contrapposto pose. He has a naturalistic body and is wearing a small white underwear.
