The Lord leads Israel in conquering the land and judging its wicked inhabitants, and then he distributes the land among the twelve tribes. The book ends with Joshua’s pleas for Israel to remain faithful as God’s people. Judges opens with Israel’s disobedience. They refuse to wage war with unbelief and to purge idolatry from the land. The books of Samuel, named after him, tell of a time of great change within the Israelite nation.
Josiah, the next king to rule the kingdom of Judah, ascended to the throne in 640 BC. He is best remembered for his return to the laws of God, in contrast to his immediate predecessors. In 622 BC, while reconstruction was under way on the temple, a priest by the name of Hilkiah, found a book on which Josiah was to found his system. This book was the last book written by Moses, the fifth Book of Moses, the Deuternonomy. Richard Friedman discusses the auspices of finding this book in chapter 5 of his book, Who Wrote the Bible?, entitled In the Court of King Josiah.

God’s Word Bestowed Blessings God has shown mercy to his people over and over again. The Pentateuch, the first five books of the bible, also known as the Torah or the Talmud; has been a historical depiction of God’s clemency and retributions, (Arnold & Beyer, 2015). As early as the Noahic Covenant, God displayed his desire to collaborate with his people for the benefit of the world. The Abrahamic Covenant revealed God’s mighty power by establishing a lineage as vast as the stars above; as well as, land riches far exceeding the Israelite’s enslaved beginnings. The conditionality stemming from The Ten Commandments differentiates the Mosaic Covenant.
An example of the wisdom read within the law codes is the story of Aaron and the setting up of the priesthood. In Leviticus 10 the discussion revolves around the role of the priests. The Mosaic Covenant and the law codes within it show us that there was a discussion taking place on the interpretation of the law codes between the two brothers, Moses and Aaron. Immediately preceding this Aaron’s son were devoured or ‘eaten’ by God’s fire because they did not treat God as ‘holy’.

When Leviticus 21:16-24 is read in the present, Western context, the passage seems to present a clear message: high priests cannot have the disabilities. This type of interpretation risks supporting an ablest theology. Since the high priest is viewed as the closest to God, it is easy to draw the conclusion that being “able bodied” means the opportunity of being closer to God. Another common assumption is that disabilities are linked with moral impurity and therefore sin. These interpretations are internalized and then affect the way in which people who have disabilities are treated.
The early civilization is always a thing that is remembered and held with high esteem in the modern society. The civilization was carefully crafted given that it took time to be accepted and was not substantial. The development of early civilization took time to blend and grow and it had to go through a series of centuries to develop what we see and read about in the modern world. The customers as well as ideas and material things are just a development that took even a number of centuries to be realized and accepted by the people who lived at this time. The same are the base of modern civilization.

The content of many famous and influential books in literature have much of its content from from the King James Version of the Bible.
The Old Testament tells us about the people of Israel, the chosen ones of God. God had made a covenant with his people and that they would be faithful to God and that God would never abandon them. The people of Israel broke this covenant, due to unfaithful acts . God forgave his people and gave them the Ten Commandments as well as a new covenant. Unfortunately, everyone continued to sin, but God forgave time and time again, and always created a new covenant with them.
In Judaism the Torah is a scared symbol. In Hebrew, Torah means “instruction” or “guidebook.” It was composed 2,700 years ago. The Torah contains five books: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. It also has the oral traditions of the rabbis and all of the Jewish literature.
The Bible needs to be read in the same fashion as any other book—beginning to end. When you start anywhere else, you lack the context to understand the coherence of the various historical anecdotes in the Bible as well as the overarching theme of the Bible. Although the Bible has sixty-books written by approximately forty authors in a span of over 2,000 years (Roberts, 2002, p. 14), the Old Testament has remained 95% accurate, and the New Testament has remained 97% accurate (Stokes & Lewis). Subsequently, while reading the Bible exactly as you would any other book is extremely important, so is knowing the historical context and authors of any specific book in the Bible. These books narrate how Jewish persecution is met with Jewish revolt under the early priest Mattathias and his five sons. The five sons of Mattathias were John, Simon, Judas, Eleazar, and Jonathan. “In those days, Mattathias son of John son of Simeon, a priest of the family of Joarib, moved from Jerusalem and settled in Modein. He had five sons, John surnamed Gaddi, Simon called Thassi, Judas called Maccabeus, Eleazar called Avaran, and Jonathan called Apphus.” (1 Maccabees 2:1–5, NRSV).
These sacred texts of Judaism showed the pertinence of obedience between man and God. In the life of Moses we see the expected perfect obedience to God from someone who became one of His chosen people. There is a tradition of belief in religion that we as humans are nothing compared to God and must not only obey Him but also humble ourselves before Him. Moses in his dialogues (between himself and God and also himself and others) along with his deeds was a living testament to being commanded by and then undoubtedly obeying God. He led a life that was pleasing to the Lord in obedience and the story of his life serves as the paradigm of the life all followers of Judaism should live as well.
