For people who haven’t been informed about Anne frank, she was born on [June 12, 1929]. She died at the age of 15 at a concentration camp. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany and moved to Amsterdam, Netherlands when she was four! When the Nazis gained control of Germany Anne lost her citizenship. As the persecutions of the Jewish population increased, the Franks went into hiding. Just the other day, I watched the play The Diary of Anne Frank Anne Frank was only a little girl that lived in a city in Amsterdam. Little did she know that her life was going to be cut short due to World War II and the invasion of Germany. Anne went through tragic times, having to go into hiding, not being able to live a normal life, and to be blindfolded knowing she was later going to die at the age of 15. The Frank family believed in the Jewish faith. Adolf Hitler was the leader of the Nazis who were against the Jewish faith. Whenever Anne had to leave the house, she had to wear a yellow star on her shirt. This was called “David's Star”. There were certain rules everyone had to follow so that no one could hear them. They couldn’t go on the streets or use the toilet at certain times of the day. Their shoes were also supposed to be off at all times so that no one could hear the creak of the floor. There was nothing you could really do except for sleeping or whispering. You weren’t able to do anything. The Franks had also known other people to help them out, though. Miep Gies and Mr. Kraler helped deliver food and supplies each day to the secret annex.
