Harmony within diversity. I thought to myself in silence—what an interesting topic to be written. By discussing this topic with other people, in majority, people would think about their own country especially Malaysians. Not because of how many states that this country has, but because of how the people can live in peace, without war and conflict overwhelms even though there are lots of people from different backgrounds, cultures, countries and religions that lives in Malaysia. But before I tell you further about how harmony within diversity helps Malaysia, let me get one thing straight; harmony within diversity not only for people. It can also be music, nature and all other things. Most of people viewed diversity as a good thing because it gives people the chance to experience many new things. Like music. Harmony is defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary as the combination of different musical notes played or sung at the same time to produce a pleasing sound. Trumpet, harp and piano produces its own sounds. Some are a bit harsher, some are a bit slower, and when the differences combine, it produces wonderful sound to please the listeners. Harmony is important to each country and the diversity within it gives each country unique strength, resilience and richness. It is fulfilling and completing; harmony and diversity. Both of this are important as this creates empathy. When people get to see more diverse people, different than they were accustomed to, in mainstream media, at work or at school-- they will begin to empathise other people. When empathy rises in the air, people will start getting along with each other, and accept people as they are--- this encourages harmony within people and this will be pleasurable to each
