Question 2 - Abstract
This section discusses the difference between leadership development & leadership development and the effectiveness of the organization General Electric’s leader development and leadership development processes in ensuring leadership sustainability.
Introduction
We argue that leadership is often paralleled with leader development. This has sometimes given more focus on the individual and ignoring points such as social, political influences. This consequence could very well have led to in imbalance in resource allocation and more focus would go to leader as an individual and not to leadership development as a whole.
Leadership development is not leader development. In order to differentiate between the two, we must distinguish between the individual, and the collective by establishing and monitoring various development goals for each category and look at what the aim of each type of development is. For any form of development to take place there must be some sort of qualitative governance to compare and use as a benchmark to judge if any improvements are taking place.

GE offers multi-year rotational prams for emerging individuals to build functional experience for future leadership
