Santa Anna believed the Texans were demoralized following the Alamo and Goliad and victory would be easily attained. Compare and Contrast There has been a lot of controversy in Washington D.C. the past couple of years. The Washington Redskins have had a tough decision whether or not they were going to start Robert Griffin III or Kirk Cousins. The two quarterbacks were drafted in the same year, 2012, but different rounds, and the only team they have both played on is the redskins, and they also were both named offensive captains. Both of them have also led the Redskins to the playoffs. However, despite all of the similarities they are quite different.

The movie was based on the short story and had many adaptive similarities from it but there were also major differences too. The differences were made not to affect the main storyline of Thomas and Victor’s journey but only to make it more pleasant to watch as a motion picture.
In the wildly popular Mexican film, Los olvidados (1950), Spanish director Luis Buñuel exposes the harsh realities of life in Mexico during the 1950’s. Luis Buñuel’s work on Los olvidados portrays a societal loss for all hope due to crime and violence as an infinitely vicious cycle, coupled with addressing the lack of reform for dilapidated living conditions throughout Mexico. In Los olvidados, Buñuel follows Pedro (Alfonso Mejía) a neglected bastard, and El Jaibo (Roberto Cobo) the leader of a gang of homeless children loitering in vacant lots. This got me thinking about perception and what people from beyond the hills that frame the Valley think about this area and the city of Yakima. I have a fairly cut-and-dry mindset, so I just started listing what I felt were some of the pros and cons of Yakima and the Valley, in terms of what people from other parts of the state might consider. Pros: it’s an important agricultural center, the cost of living is decent, there are thriving vineyards and a world-class specialty wine industry, a growing craft brewery scene, a wide range of cultural variety and ethnic diversity, a “quieter” pace of life, a small town atmosphere, more coffee shops per capita than the inside of a Starbucks, a burgeoning cutting-edge medical community, and lots of nature and outdoor pursuits. Most importantly, there is a growing population of young people who are interested and increasingly involved in Yakima area politics, culture, and industry. The city of Peoria, Illinois is not better than New York City, New York. Peoria is not as good as New York City because of there is not a lot of shopping in Peoria. In Peoria, there are only two shopping malls. In New York City, there are shops selling every item imaginable. I enjoyed exploring the shops in Times Square and throughout the rest of the city.
The human population is on the rise around the world, Hawaii being no exception. Even though Hawaii is a small island, overpopulation was caused by many people who are militaries, tourists, and immigrants. Actually, in 2011 Hawaii’s population density was 214 people per square mile. Also, on Oahu, where the majority of Hawaii residents live, the population density was 1,468 people per square mile. Therefore, Hawaii ranked 13th population density in the U.S. Hawaii’s overpopulation problem leads to the cost of living is high, increasing homelessness and the traffic congestion.
That's a lot of people right? I mean think about that. Our world is fairly large. There are over 7 billion people in this world (keep in mind that number is increasing rapidly) and 5% of that is living here in the United States. But what if I told you we are also home to 25% of the worlds' prison population.
Furthermore there are ten cities. The state is big, they get billions of dollars each year. In 2010 the state of Colorado reported that the state has 5,000,000 plus people living there. In fact “Colorado ranks 22nd in population among the 50 states” (world book “Colorado”).
Miami and New York both are wonderful places to visit. New York, it is one of the most populated cities in the U.S for their large buildings and Miami is one of the state most popular vacation spots. Although there are several similarities between Miami and New York, there are many obvious differences between them in their economy, entertainment, and cultures. New York and Miami are well known for their economy. Living in Miami or New York is extremely luxurious.
