One of the differences is that amaries village was full of joy and happiness but there isn't really much joy or happiness at the plantation. Then another differences is that in her village amarie could come and go as she pleased but slaves weren't allowed to leave the plantation. I know this because in the poem Nothing Gold Can Stay it has the words “Then leaf subsides to leaf” and the words” So dawn goes down to day”. This means that the current day is ending and a new day is beginning. I know the poem Abandoned Farmhouse has change because the writer says there was a lot of trash in their yard.
These are similarities because they both tell how the song hypnotizes people. Another difference is the excerpt has a lot of imagery to describe the settings, the way something feels or the descriptions of something that is happening. The poem doesn’t have any imagery in it rather it has forms of manipulation, sarcasm, and Irony. These affect the rhythm of the story and the theme of both passages.
