Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, is a story about two close friends who are put through difficult times. This book was made into a movie. Throughout the story George and Lennie become inseparable friends, and face many situations together. The guys go into town without lennie. After Lennie does his bad thing he can’t find the “spot” he’s suppose to go to. The men in the book don’t portray the things they say into the movie. They have different description about what happens between the book and movie Of Mice and Men. The book was better than the movie. Through the movie they left out important details in the book, that made it more of a story. While the rest of the guys went out into town to blow off their money, Lennie stayed back at the ranch. He went into Crooks room and started to talk with him. In the book Candy and Curley’s wife end up walking into Crooks room. Candy nor Curley’s wife didn’t walk into the Crooks room in the movie. In the book Curley’s wife said she could have Crooks hung. When they walked into Crooks room it showed that, he was being disrespected, and set the mood of the story more. In the movie George finds Lennie just walking down the river. He couldn’t find the “spot”, George told him to go. While in the book George finds Lennie in the brush. He sits there next to Lennis and tells him that he’s not mad at him, for what he did. George actually has a heart to heart conversation with Lennie, where it looks like he cares about Lennie.
