UNDERSTAND THE METHODS OF COMMUNICATION

• Describe the main methods of written and oral communication in the workplace and their uses
In the old days, when they hear the word communication, immediately they think of an exchange of information and ideas through words or just simply put talking. However, there are a lot of ways on how to communicate. Verbal communication is one example.
Our organization used a combination of method in communication, thus we are not limited to verbal communication only. The following are the methods that we used in sending our messages across:

One should know how to identify which form or type of communication is appropriate for an event. You can’t use written communication wherein you are going to have a speech or training for a large group and you can’t also use oral communication wherein situations does not need the oral communication.
One advantage of oral communication is that you can be more persuasive and you have an opportunity to call attention and win trust of the people you are speaking to. It is more of like convincing powers with your choice of words because they can hear that you are sincere. The other advantage of oral communication is that you can address immediately if queries arise so that gives you an edge or an advantage when giving oral communication.
However the disadvantage of this type of communication is that it is not documented and in legal terms not legally binding. If you have just given a promise to the people for example if you are a politician, they are fond of giving speeches, promises and laying out their platforms in a crowd of people but yet in the end and when they get the position, they tend to forget their
