The conventional idea is that Georgia did not succeed at its intentions is challenged by the interpretations of Noeleen McIlvenna, who wrote The Short Life of Free Georgia, a contradictory story of the colonization of the thirteenth colony. First and foremost, the proprietary colony was a place that was meant for debtors and the worthy poor. The colony was created to rid England of the poor and find suitable work for them. The elite looked at them with disregard; there was constant separation, such as The Black Act, which didn’t allow hunting and fishing on private property. This new colony was to be built for the betterment of English debtors.
One of the strengths that Savannah State has is being the oldest HBCU in Georgia. Also, being located in the oldest city of Georgia is also a strength. Savannah State is also a smaller university so students are able to have a more personal level with faculty and staff. Waving out of state tuition for students is a great tactic to increase enrollment. One if the weakness of Savannah State is communication.
Atlanta played an important role during the Civil War. Founded in 1837 as a railway center for northwestern Georgia, Atlanta's original name was "Terminus." By 1852, its population had reached 3,000, including some 500 slaves. Because of its location and commercial importance, Atlanta was used as a center for military operations and as a supply route by the Confederate army during the Civil War. Therefore, it also became a target for the Union army.
In Rankins book Citizen and Baldwin's Notes of a Native Son we learn that the books are about the racial differences of the past and present. We learn that in Notes of a Native Son it captures a view on the black life of a father and son at the peak of the civil rights movement. These harsh times allow Baldwin to wonder and doubling back to a state of grace. While in Citizen we learn that our experiences of race are often beginning in the unconsciousness and in the imagination and tangled in words. Rankine shows how dynamic of racial selves are not isolated but also shared.
Yes, there are going to be more available jobs due to film, but Georgia isn’t the only state that is an exceptional area for film. Giggster.com even states that, “…supporting over 700,000 jobs and close to $70 billion in wages for California employees.” So, Georgia becoming overpopulated due to the increase of jobs is inaccurate, as there are other states that are clearly reliable in the way of finding occupations, so if there’s an issue with the film industry,
While Audre Lorde's "Power" and Jacqueline Woodson's "South Carolina at War" differ greatly in their use of form, tone, and imagery, both poems convey powerful themes of injustice and the ongoing struggle against oppression. In "Power", Lorde adopts a cynical and graphic tone to highlight the visceral imagery of police brutality and a rigged justice system. She suggests that in the face of such a corrupt system, the only way to achieve justice is through reciprocal violence. In contrast, Woodson adopts a more optimistic tone in "South Carolina at War" to convey the metaphor of protest as a war through the inspiring voice of the grandfather.

Olivia McFerrin History and Politics of Georgia 10-9-16 Georgia and the Great Depression October 29th, 1929 was a day that changed America, forever. With the stock market crashing, the country went into an immediate recession that quickly spiraled into a full blown depression. While most accounts of the Great Depression focus on how states functioned after that fateful Tuesday in October, there are states that were dealing with economic troubles well before then. Georgia was one of those states and was also one of the last states to pull all the way out of the depression. Georgia fought hard and eventually made a wonderful comeback but it wasn’t easy nor did it happen without major changes and challenges within the state.
The Atlanta Campaign was a series of battles fought throughout northwest Georgia from May 7, 1864 to September 2, 1864. The Union Commander was Maj. Gen. William T. Reconstruction is the time period after the Civil War, where the country attempted to improve the Union. There were many successes, but what also comes along with success is failure. During the reconstruction many failures were present; such as the lack of racial equality and blatant racism towards blacks, a failing economy in the South, and tense relations between the North and the South. This created a very intense and challenging period of time for the Union.

Through the various assessments and tests that were done, I have learned a lot about myself. Some I already knew and some I just found out. Starting off with values, I never really thought about how my values affected me and which ones I value the most. After doing the test, I have become aware of how I would feel if someone did not honor my values. Moving on with emotional intelligence, I have affirmed that I have above average emotional intelligence.

Through improving agriculture, export businesses, science and technology, Korea was able to improve living standards in all aspects and improve equality between citizens in terms of the Human Development Index, Gini coefficient, and Per Capita Income. This insured that the road for development in Korea was the right path to follow through improving all aspects of the economy. Although government intervention might be viewed as an incorrect way to achieve development, Korea and East Asia were able to achieve miracles in development in both impact and speed of achieving these growth rates. Since South Korea was able to replicate the Japanese model for development, with minor adjustments, this means other countries have the opportunity to achieve massive growth rates with further adjustments to be compatible with both their culture and economic
