Goldie Bowsher Zimmerman English 9 27 February 2023 Disney World is the happiest place on earth right? Well wait until you check your bank account. Disney World is portrayed as the most magical place where you get to ride rides and meet movie characters in a fantasy world. This is everyone's perspective before seeing the total cost at the end of their experience and the amount of time they have wasted. Comparing what you put into the Disney experience (money, time, effort, stress) and what is reciprocated, Disney is a classic example of being overrated. Disney World is nothing but a money grabber, you go through and pick the parks you want to experience then where you're going to stay and many other things. Going to Disney places you in this wanna-be fantasy trying to make it satisfying for everyone. Once you reach your teenage years it starts to get harder to enjoy and connect with this fantasy. Disney makes you feel pressured into forcing this enjoyment because of how much money they are making you spend. When you're an adult and you have children with you, you worry about their experience and if they are having a good time. Planning for Disney is a very stressful and time consuming task that not a lot of people enjoy but do anyway because they think the trip will be worth it. If you are wanting to get inspiration to travel, then I would start by planning a smaller, less stressful trip that will be worth your while in the end. Instead of having to plan out day by day, hour by hour on what you're going to do in an attempt to try and squeeze everything into one week (if you even have enough money to spend one week at Disney). A better option would be to take a more relaxed approach and go down to Florida and explore the area, going to a few amusement parks on the way. It's so much more entertaining and you're getting a lot more out of your money, not to mention the amount of money you're spending is not near as much as if you were trapped in the Disney World
