Another factor that Disney World gave to the city of Orlando to help grow and maintain the city was a way to implement safety precautions and have a set safety plan for a mass amount of people. They first start by having each and every cast member go through extensive training on how to maintain a safe park. They focus on monitoring and awareness in these training to show cast members different ways things can go wrong or different ways to prevent a situation from being bad to worse. Along with cast member training Disney has implemented a bag search and metal detectors at the front of all parks and shopping areas to ensure that anything they have banned is not brought in to the park for everyone’s safety within their boundaries. By having so many things banned from entering specific areas of Disney, they are allowing an extra measure of safety for their guests and an extra procedure that guests must agree to in order to be there. This gave Orlando a new way to keep the people of the city safe and having rules set in place that they must agree to and participate in in order to do certain things within the city. By having these rules Orlando is able to implement extra steps to keep areas safe within the city which then leads to a higher lifespan within the city making it more desirable to live in. By having a higher life expectancy in the city, Orlando is able to grow and keep a steady growth rate that continues to rise and not fall because of different reasons. The new and progressing changes in Disney with new rides, new restaurants, new magic, and new additions to parks the city of Orlando must be ready to change along with it. As Disney progresses in new things they are doing, Orlando must match or compete with Disney in order to keep the draw to the city and draw to want to live there outside of Disney World. The city must build more housing, new shopping centers, more hotels, and more regulation to allow for the change that comes with population growth within itself. If Orlando does not continue to follow the path that Disney is setting up, the growth of the city would stop and people’s desire to want to be there will decline, which would lead to a decline in the city as a whole. Disney is implementing changes to all of their resorts and parks in the next few years. By adding new attractions and changing the parks they are finding ways to create a new way to experience magic. This new magic will allow Disney to have a new pull to their parks and have a surge of visitors like they did when they first opened. This surge will force Orlando to have to have ways to handle the amount of people that will want to experience the “new”
