The company should have definitely abandoned its plan of developing a large theme park in the land next to the national park because of the values it supports and because of the public outcry. As a company, Disney has the obligations to act in ways that serve the best interests of the organization and those of the public. While it was a good business idea for the company, it would not have been successful without the support from the public.
