The following types of distractions are listed in order according to the grade and speed they produced in this experiment from greatest to least:
1. Chewing gum (greatest grade and speed)
2. Listening to music
3. Using laptop
4. Using cellphone(least grade and speed)
When the type of distraction was using a cellphone, the grade on the test was the least, at 50 percent and the speed was the greatest, at 10 minutes. When the type of distraction was changed to using a laptop the grade on the test was increased, to 60 percent and the speed was decreased, to 9 minutes.
