Shakespeare uses Romeo from Romeo and Juliet to show us the cost of division. It is a play written several centuries ago about two young people who fall in love. We learn just how much pain the two characters go through in order to be together. In the beginning of the play, Romeo was heartbroken because the girl he loved had just left him. His friends invited him to a party. At first Romeo knew that he wasn’t suppose to go to that party but he didn’t care but because of the division between the two families, this forces Romeo to wear a mask and he would have to sneak into the party. After the dance Romeo and Juliet both found out who their families are. Romeo snuck into Juliet’s backyard and they both said that they love each other and they wanted to get married right away. Before Romeo left him and Juliet kissed. The next day after they promised that they would marry Tybolt and Romeo met each other on the street. Tybolt was trying to fight Romeo but Mercutio was there so Mercutio took Romeos place and fought Tybolt. In the fight Tybolt killed Mercutio, then Romeo got very angry and he killed Tybolt. Then both family went to the prince for justices. Juliet's family wanted Romeo died and Romeo’s family was trying to say Tybolt killed Mercurito first Romeo was simply trading an eye for an eye so Romeo shouldn’t be punished. The prince said Romeo would not be killed but he shall never be seen in this city ever again. Romeo was very upset when the prince said he shall never come back again. Before Romeo left the city him and Juliet got secretly married. The priest had a plan to get Romeo back to the city. The priest said that wait
