What do you think the biggest problems are in utopias, or at least what they claim to be. Many utopias claim to be good but a lot don’t pan out. True, there are some utopias that play a good role in life.For example, the utopia that was made to help homeless people live in RV's and contribute to the community. There are also a lot that didn't quite make it appealing to many people. As many lose their people, money, and people who want to start it with you, and many others. First, let's define utopia. Utopia, an imagined place or state of things in which everything is perfect.
Let's put the Brook Farm in the spotlight for a bit. The whole community went downhill from the start pretty much. The Brook farm was founded in 1841 and provide free tuition in the community's school, however, Ripley, the founder, joined the unpopular Fourierism group. This meant that the young people in the community would have to clean stables, slaughter animals, and more. This had caused many people to leave as the community later had an outbreak of smallpox. These communities are controlled by one or two people.

They may not have access to a doctor and people may die from serious injury if it's not treated correctly. Since they are far away from cities and places with hospitals it would be hard to get to a doctor in time if the injury was serious. Another reason why they would not work is money issues. Pullmans utopia is a great example for this. The community was run on a profit basis. The town would have to return a profit of 7% annually. They were given two paychecks. One for rent, which was automatically given back to Pullman and one for everything
