Doctor Who is a British science-fiction television show, produced by the BBC, that has been running since 1963. The series follows a Time Lord called the Doctor, a space and time-traveling man who explores the universe in his time-traveling space ship. Accompanied by various companions throughout the years, the Doctor works to help all people in need. To illustrate the wide diversity, in one episode titled “The Unicorn and the Wasp”, the Doctor travels to 1926 where he solves a classic mystery novel style crime involving Agatha Christie, hunting down an alien murderer through cunning and wit. In another episode called “Midnight”, the main character is pulled into deadly situation on an exotic crystalline planet of the same name, encountering a seemingly invisible entity that preys on people’s paranoia in a confined, inescapable train car.
