Strengths
Chrysler is a billion dollar company with room to make changes within its brand. FCA is a privately held company and has several strong brands under the wings that include Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Mopar, and SRT. FCA is one of America’s top car manufacturer’s and has a good management team, with a creative innovative culture that is noted for a strong supply chain and technology.
Weakness
FCA needs to improve relationships with dealers. FCA needs to improve a damaged image with prospective owners. As a private company it becomes more difficult to obtain cash for projects when bad business relationships with unions and employees are pubic knowledge. This model is meant to appeal to the Millennial men, but sales prove that women are the main purchasers due to the masculine appeal. This same masculine appeal will work for teenagers. This change will provide a consumer a different point-of-view and attract additional segment. This change will increase the overall consumer analyses, by changing the demographics and the psychographics on the life styles of a teenager and Generation X.
The Dodge Nitro has an excellent safety rating of 8.4 out of 10, as reported by US News & World Report. This mid-size SUV will provide parents the peace of mind and security as a teenager is learning to drive. The Dodge Nitro also has a 4-wheel drive option, so when driving in temperamental weather conditions, a teen driver will be able to maintain a safe driving record. The cost of the Dodge Nitro is within a reasonable budget for parents who are looking for an affordable vehicle for the teen driver.
