Dodgeball Debate The Perspective on Traditional Dodgeball being a activity for children to play is unsuitable. Traditional Dodgeballs purpose is to have fun and in which players try to hit opponents on the opposite team eliminating them, with an inflated ball. Traditional dodgeball shouldn’t be banned but . Not wanting to ban traditional dodgeball but also reflecting on being a inappropriate game is playing both views. Keeping children and adolescents active is a big challenge among teachers and parents. One justification is on why traditional dodgeball is inappropriate because all adolescents aren’t identical when being active in activities. A weak adolescent isn’t capable of defending themselves when they are being picked on by the best athletes. The best athletes may think that the weak just need to try harder but the best athletes don’t understand how being weak or picked on feels like. There is a difference between playing fairly and taking it to far. The first rate athletes could take advantage on playing fair which can cause painful causes or effects in traditional dodgeball. Setting clear personal limits is the key to respectful, supportive and caring. Boundaries are a measure of self-esteem. A healthy self-respect will produce boundaries which show and deserve to be treated well. Some boundaries we should stay to is just hit the person on body parts not the face. Also another suggestion is to not be too aggressive to another player. Playing traditional dodgeball will safely decrease injuries. Maybe if children weren’t rough at playing dodgeball then we wouldn’t have a debate on banning
