Everyone has a different view of technology and the internet, and how or if it is affecting us as people. In Nicolas Carr’s article “Is Google Making Us Stupid” he offers his views on the subject. He expresses his concerns about what humans excessive internet use could be doing to the actual functioning of their brains. Lauren Brown and Kay Sanborn, both have their own ideas on the subject some of which agree with Carr and others that disagree. I believe that the internet and technology have their pros and cons and whether we see both views or just one is up to us.
In “Is Google Making Us Stupid?” by Nicolas Carr he enlightens us on how he feels that the internet is changing the way we think and process information. He tells us that he has experienced this and feels the reprogramming of his brain the most when he reads. He also uses the feedback and evidence from his colleagues to show the change patterns in other people. Carr uses present examples of how he feels that the internet is changing the way we thinking but he adds examples of history for example the invention of the clock and the way it has altered our behaviors. The author also brings in scientific studies to prove that there are changes happening to us because of the internet.

Technology like smartphones, computers, smartwatches, smart glasses, smart tv’s, and game consoles are being incorporated into people’s homes, jobs, education, transportation, and medicine. Technology makes it easier for people to communicate effortlessly over long distances. People have the ability to search for an abundance of information at their fingertips.
