Dog parks should not be built in cities for a variety of reasons. Dogs in general are loud and can cause unwanted problems. A dog park would require that our taxes go towards the funding of the park, people with allgergies must now avoid this park which hinders their day to day life and a dog park would become a problem for the city. Firstly, a dog park would require people to fund the park with their taxes and you may say that property demand would hit an all time high but other projects could benifet the city even more. For example if our taxes went towards funding more schools to be opened up or to make a pre existing school better, the propery in the area would be in higher demand because more people have kids than dogs and a parent would want to live near a good school that would allow their child to aquire the best education possible all within walking distance. The dog park would only have short term benefits rather than long term beneifts because dogs can 't make a city better but well educated and prospering students can. It should be the owners resposibilty to give their dog the recomended amount of excerise not the city 's. Finally, a dog park would cause major problems for the city and its reputaion. As a community your word should matter on a topic because it 's your life and your community being affected after all. If a dog bit somone because it was allowed to run free it is the owners fault and the cites fault because it was their choice to open a dog park and not anyone else 's. This could lead to lawsuits and backlash from citizens because they may not want a dog park or are being affected by it. For example, if a person gets asthma attacks from being near dogs it is the cities fault for that persons now worsened medical problem because that individual maybe lives in that area in hopes of staying away from dogs but the city has now opened one across the
