Dog out for a walk, out for potty should be a regular schedule and that itself is good indicator of overall health. A regular schedule means body waste and toxicity is eliminated from body regularly. But how often this should be done will vary from one dog to another dog. Irrespective of breed or body weight. There are many factors that determine, the frequency a dog gets the urge to pee.
For example, smaller breeds and younger dogs will need to urinate more frequently than larger breeds and older dogs. For some breeds even once in a day walk to pee or poop is sufficient. For high energy dogs need more frequent walk to pee. A general rule suggested by veterinarians is 15minutes, twice a day walk as a healthy schedule.
