The study of domesticated fox helped people see the world of not just foxes but wolves as well. A man named Dmitry Belyayev truly shown the light to foxes and made more people have time to appreciate foxes. Dmitry was born July 17, 1917, in Russia and studied domesticated foxes in 1959 to 1985 because of his brother that inspired Dmitry in genetics. The simple choice of Dmitry brother to get him inspired changed the world and people see both foxes and the world differently.

One subject that fascinated him was the question of how such a remarkable diversity of canine breeds had arisen from the domestic dog's lupine ancestors.
