The Dominican Scholarly and Creative works Conference was quite interesting. All the students I talked to are very intelligent with some interesting final thesis’s and capstone projects. They were also very enthusiastic when I approached their projects. In addition, they were very knowledgeable on their subjects giving me all their details on their projects. I would like to add that people who have not taken statistic are unable to understand their evidence because most of the data was explained by using numbers.

Jerrymi Mendoza and Nima Tso found nurses work overtime are 3X more likely to make medical errors. In conclusion, health care system should provide enough staffing to handle the high workloads in the emergency department. Another way to avoid this problem is to implement laws to regulate how many hours nurse can work per week. Sleep is important and sleep deprivations lead to many errors that a nurse can make. Nurses should be reeducated on the importance of sleep and fatigue related problems and their impacts on patient safety and medical errors. The last one I saw was titled “Gender Differences in Choice to Attend College for Hispanic Families” by Stephany Ortiz. The first hypothesis is Hispanic males will be encouraged to attend college if the male parent has low life satisfaction. The second hypothesis is Hispanics females will be encouraged to attend college independent of the life satisfaction of either parent. Her method to get participants was by social media and
