Ending Obesity Give a teenager ten dollars for lunch money more likely than not they will use it to buy some type of fast food other than a healthier choice such as fruit or salad why is this? The reason for this is because fast food and junk food are typically cheaper to buy which means the customer gets more options for their money. When men see a laden double western cheeseburger being advertized with a beautiful woman holding it next to a fancy car of course they are going to prefer that over a plain piece of grilled chicken and some white rice. They are old enough to take responsibility and stop eating all the obesogenic foods. All humans do get cravings here and there for some junk food but millennials need to learn how to control these urges. Teens have been on this earth long enough to know the horrible effects of fast food and they should also know exercise is a key component to staying healthy. In the article Don’t Blame the Eater David Zinczenko discusses “Drive down any thoroughfare in America, and I guarantee you’ll see one of our country’s more than 13,000 McDonald’s restaurants. Now, drive back up the block and try to find someplace to buy a grapefruit.” In Don’t Blame the Eater David Zinczenko states it is easier to find our one of many McDonald’s restaurants than any place to get a healthy piece of fruit anywhere you go. If a person is familiar with their town in the slightest way they should know where to go for healthier options such as Subway, Chipotle, Savemart and any sandwich shop. Millennials need to change the way they eat before they end up obese with heart issues and live a very unhealthy, sad life due to their weight.People really need to learn how to control themselves around food and not just scarf down anything they want and think without exercising they will be fine. If obesity becomes more popular then families will have to worry about each other passing away prematurely due to heart problems. This could all be avoided if individuals exercise, eat healthy, learn what and how much to eat and stay away from eating fast food so often. Healthy diets are a great key to being a successful healthy happier person. The healthier someone is the less likely they are to get heart disease, any cardiovascular exercise strengthens your heart as you require it to pump the blood around your body faster. As your heart is a muscle this will mean that it gets strengthened in much the same way as your bicep would from lifting a dumbbell and that can mean individuals are less likely to suffer heart disease, heart attack or other problems. It also decreases chances of diabetes because using the body regularly for energy as well as improving individual's weight so they will be less likely to have problems with
