588 Words3 Pages

Louis D. Brandis once said… “Our government teaches the whole people by its example. If the government becomes the lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy.” In our government, we get to vote on who we choose to represent us. One of the representatives we vote for is our president. Not only would would he most likely fail to do everything he promised, he would put our entire country in jepordy. He is very abrasive, egotistical, and many countries already don’t like him. The things he says and the actions he says he’s going to take would infuriate many countries and could be a danger to us. If Donald Trump says he’s going to go to a country to bomb them, obviously that country isn’t going to let it slide- they’ll try to make the first move, which could easily start a war. Trump also is very vocally racist and sexist. He has made many vulgar comments to women on his show, “The Apprentice,” and has made many tasteless comments about liberal women and their personal life on social media. which should be no one’s business but their own. He said, on national TV, during a press conference, that Mexicans are rapists and drug dealers. He has claimed that “laziness is a trait in blacks.” Personal views shouldn’t become a factor in what decisions presidents make, but they obviously will influence Trump- and he wants the world to know. That could be devestating for the many women, Latinos, African Americans, Muslims, and other minorities in the United States, not to mention extremely offensive. The world is evolving to become more open to many things that it wasn’t years ago, and we need an open-minded liberal candidate- not someone narrow-minded and conservative, to run our country.
