Is it the Narrator’s fault that Doodle died? Is Doodle’s death the Narrator’s fault? That answer is yes. If the Narrator didn’t leave Doodle behind and stuck with Doodle and help him get through the storm Doodle wouldn’t have died. Furthermore if the Narrator wouldn’t of kept pushing Doodle to do things he wasn’t supposed to do and couldn’t do, the Narrator wouldn’t of took him out during the storm and Doodle would've never died. Finally if the Narrator wasn’t so harsh on Doodle he wouldn’t of left Doodle behind. If the Narrator would’ve not left Doodle behind, Doodle wouldn’t have died. The Doctor said Doodle wouldn’t be able to walk and basically said that Doodle couldn’t do anything physical but the Narrator ignored that and wanted Doodle to walk but not because the Narrator wanted to help Doodle but because he was embarrassed that he had a little brother that wasn’t able to walk. If the Narrator would’ve stopped making him swim and run almost everyday for almost no reason, he wouldn’t of taken Doodle out that day when the storm came. If the Narrator wasn’t so harsh on Doodle, he wouldn't of left Doodle. If the Narrator cared more about Doodle and would’ve helped Doodle in the storm, Doodle wouldn’t of died. If the Narrator would’ve been nicer and cared more about Doodle, he wouldn’t of been making him run and do a lot of physical things almost everyday and he wouldn’t of took him out the day Doodle died.
