The writers have two different viewpoints on being able to accomplish something. Professor William Lyon Phelps says that if we develop a sense of certainty that beliefs give us, we can be able to do anything including things others deem as impossible. On the other hand, author Bertrand Russell believes that people should have doubt in some viewpoints as it helps teach us. Although people always tend to doubt themselves with how much they are able to do, believing in ourselves and being certain that we are able to do anything, will get us one step closer to accomplishing anything.
