When charley went to war he was actually only 15 years old and the minimum age was 18 but with your parents permission you could be 17. Charleys mom did not want charley to go to war but he did anyway.
This frightened him very much because he didn’t know where exactly he was supposed to shoot at. Also he didn't know where the people shooting at him were at. At one point Charley had to serve horse meat to his fellow soldiers because there were no cattle to slaughter for beef. Charley had to kill several horses that were meant to be used for war so the other soldiers could have some meat. Charley did not think that killing horses was something he would have to do when he joined the war.
In the novel Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry, Stacey’s perspective of friendship with T.J. and Jeremy is unique and this affects the decisions he makes in Chapter 7. Stacey allows T.J. to do almost anything around him, even though T.J. is rude and naughty. But, T.J. is still Stacey’s best friend. Stacey is pretty rude to Jeremy even though Jeremy is super nice to the Logans and T.J.’s family. Stacey’s friendship with these two boys are very different.
Cassie is the main character in Mildred D. Taylor’s story “Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry”. She is a smart, curious 9 year old. As time goes on, Cassie and her family learn many lessons throughout the book. We can see her grow and get a better understanding of how blacks were treated during the 1930’s. Cassie has many racist moments that occur to her, angering her and her family.

For Charley Patton, the love for music started at the early age of 6 when he moved to a cotton and sawmill farm. It was at this farm he developed his music style and began playing for nearby plantation workers. He was one of few blues artists to play annual shows and put his unique skills on display. Booker T. Washington 'Bukka' White, was first cousins with B.B.King (another prominent blues artist) and was skillful with many instruments.

Debs, socialist who helped with bringing in 420,793 votes. Roosevelt left after the election was over, went to Africa and came back with much energy, known for being adventurous and as a “cowboy”, and inspired many laws. Roosevelt protected capitalists against popular indignation and against socialism, a conservationist who tried to find a balance between the preservationists.
Flashbacks of him in the war, him seeing his friends being killed, him starving and having to fight and kill people. Instead of running and working and having a family, CHarley is alone by himself with no family, and no kids. He can’t run, because he has a limp and was hurt during the war. Charley is in pain and wants to die.
He grew up in a poor household, his father Lon was a logger but entered the Veteran Administration hospital for a brain aneurysm, so Hank did not see his father very often for the next decade or so. Meanwhile Hank's mother worked at a cannery and was night shift nurse. Hank had a spinal condition, spina bifida, so he grew up being set apart from other kids his age. Hank William’s identified with music that came from the radio and the church choir music. He quickly learned how to play folk, country; and heavily influenced by a black street performer by the name of /rufus

He bounced around reform schools for minor offences until he was arrested for driving a vehicle over state lines and sent to a federal reformatory. Courage can be found where it is least expected. In her book, Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry, Mildred Taylor uses Cassie as an example courage. Courage is the ability to do something, even though you are frightened of doing it, which Cassie shows a lot throughout the book. Cassie is a little girl, who is very smart, sassy, and courageous. She stands up for what she believes and helps others that need a voice.
In this report I will tell about his early life and many, many accomplishments. In Buddy’s early life he was the youngest of his three siblings, Travis, Larry, and Patricia Holley. His parents names were Ella Holley and Lawrence Odell. His real name was Charles, but he got the nickname Buddy because his mother thought that Charles, his real name, was to big for “Her little boy”. His last name was also misspelled by many.
In the novel Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry, Stacey’s perspective of racial equality, TJ and his friendship, the Simms specifically Jeremy, and his family, dramatically affects the decisions that he makes in chapter 7 and the past chapters. I assume, that Stacey understands most of what is going on, like Jeremy and TJ’s personality. I also infer that he sometimes does not think, and makes a bad decision mainly with TJ, like the coat and many other times. Like any other two boys’ friendship, Stacey and TJ are still best friends no matter what happens and Stacey in a way protects TJ at sometimes. For example, when TJ cheated, and Stacey got punished for it, Stacey chased TJ all the way down to the Wallace store, tackled him, sat on top of him, and made sure that his point about not cheating and Stacey getting blamed for it was clear.

Some differences include the tone towards death as ‘Funeral Blues’ was written with a more mocking, sarcastic tone towards death and grieving the loss of a loved one, (even though it was later interpreted as a genuine expression of grief after the movie “Four Weddings and a Funeral” in 1994), whereas ‘Remember’ has a more sincere and heartfelt tone towards death. In addition, ‘Funeral Blues’ is entirely negative towards death not only forbidding themselves from moving on but also forbidding the world from moving on after the tragic passing of the loved one, whilst ‘Remember’ gives the griever
As time passes, people often think of their pasts and what they have done in their life, both positively and negatively. The lyrics of the song resonate with everyone, even the famous singer Macklemore who produced the song “Good Old Days.” In the song, he reflects on his past and the times he missed or regretted. Macklemore also writes “We’ve come so far, I guess I’m proud” which also shows that he’s happy with the choices he made and that they have gotten him to where he is now—a famous musician and writer. The music in the song has an upbeat and appealing tone to it with excellent lyrics, which made it a top 40 song in the U.S.
