Every suicide affects around 6 or more people ,just like the deaths of Romeo and Juliet affected all of Verona. In Shakespeare’s story Romeo and Juliet, two teens from families that are enemies, cross the stars and fall in love. These two star crossed lovers secretly get married and in the end of the story, the end up killing themselves. Their deaths made an impact on Verona so much that they decided to make golden statues of them. In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Lady Capulet and Fr. Lawrence should be punished and Benvolio should be pardoned for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet.
I think the character Fr. Lawerence in Shakespeare’s version of Romeo and Juliet should be punished. In the story, Fr. Lawrence gave Juliet the sleeping potion which would make her seem dead but she would only be asleep. This would later result in her death. “Hold. Get you gone. Be strong and prosperous” (IV.i.123). This proves that Fr. Lawrence should be punished because he did something that would kill Juliet. Secondly, he also should be punished because he married Romeo and Juliet . Marrying Romeo and Juliet is a bad thing because it would be doing it without the Capulet’s approval and their families are enemies.“Till holy church incorporate two in one” …show more content…

Secondly, he was encouraging Romeo to go to the Capulet’s party.Benvolio tries to convince Romeo to go to the party so that he can find someone better than Rosaline. He tells Romeo that he will make him think that Rosaline is crow compared to what he would find. This is proving that he should be pardoned because he was only trying to be helpful and keep the peace between everyone.
