Attention Step- Imagine staying up all night studying because you have a huge test the next morning. When the sun comes up the next morning you realize you only got about 4 ½ hours of sleep and you are running late. You quickly get dressed and eat a small breakfast. On your way out of your house you grab your coffee and get in your car and start on your 15 min drive to school. You cannot seem to keep your eyes open and slowly drift into the other lane. You collide head on with a van full of kids and hospitalize everyone including yourself. Even though this is a hypothetical story, this could still happen to any student. There are going to be penalties if this law is not followed. a. The first offence is a warning and a call to the parents of the violator by the officer. b. The second offence is a ticket. c. The third offence is license suspension for 6 weeks with a ticket. d. Any offences farther after this, your license could be suspended until you are 18 with a ticket and the ticket amount will depend on the number of offence. 3. There are some exceptions to not following this law. a. Coming home from a sporting event can be an exception. b. Coming home from a place of employment can be an exception as well. B. This law will be a lot better than what we have now. This will be good because it will prevent more accidents and keep the teens safe. This law will set some boundaries for teens and keep them out of trouble. This law can put parents minds at ease so they are not constantly worried about their teens on the road. IV.
