Abstract
This paper is about how the impact of drug use on the United States(U.S.) economy. In this paper, I will talk about three ways the U.S. economy is being affected by drugs and alcohol abuse and addiction. Drug abuse is all over the economy affecting and destroying the world. More and more people are becoming addicted to all types of drugs whether it is prescription drugs, alcohol, or illegal addiction. Addiction is addiction no matter how you abuse it. Drug and alcohol abuse is spreading all over the world causing the United States billions of dollars from trying to help people fight his/her addiction to different types of drugs. Drugs are impacting the economy in the worst way mainly because of social cost and healthcare.
