For my Capstone Project, I chose the career as physician assistant. I worked hard throughout the year to make sure I make a good grade on the Capstone Project. I job shadowed at D.D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center in the pain management unit. I spent most of the time observing my mentor while she performed check-ups on her patients. Also, I saw my mentor give injections to patients to help with pain.

A volunteer experience of mine that comes to mind is one that is probably my most favorite volunteer experience yet. It is one that I get to do at my very own school called DUCK Week (Doing Unselfish Charities for Kids), which is a week long event that I have been a part of since I joined Piedmont Schools as a second grader. What makes this charity unique is that it focuses only on a member or a few members in our very own community, which is why we are able to be so successful with it. It is easier for someone to understand the need to help when it is someone that they may know. This small town in Oklahoma rallies around community members and together we raise funds to help those in need.
I was volunteering in the shift of Noosa Jazz Festival on Friday at the afternoon of 4th Sep. from 2:00pm to 7:00pm, and whole day shift Tough Mudder 13th Sep from 8:30am to 5:00pm. Both of the events gave me a very good experience and some inspirations about how an event be well managed in busy and relax situations.
I am truly honored to be one of the many outstanding students at Seminole High School who are being considered for admission into our chapter of the National Honor Society. I feel that I fulfill the expectations of the Society because I exemplify scholarship, leadership, service, and character in both our school and our community. However, the pillar that I feel that I represent best is service. After more than 130 hours volunteering, I feel that I can truly grasp what service means to our community, and how that service exemplifies one of the pillars of the National Honor Society.
Paramedics rush a 63-year-old man from Somerset to the Baldwin Medical Center after his fuel tanker flew off the side of the road. According to statements from the man, he had been swatting a bee before the big rig rolled over in a ditch. The State Patrol and county deputies responded to the accident at 10:58 am, along with the Baldwin Ambulance and United Fire personnel. The driver said that a bee had entered his 2005 fuel tanker, and he had done his best to remove it, which is the reason for the truck rollover. According to radio transmissions, the man told them that the truck carried diesel fuel that had about 600 gallons.
Since graduating, however, I have been fortunate enough to establish a multi-year shadowing opportunity with an ER physician. This experience has easily been one of my most meaningful exposures to the medical field. Unlike other specialists I've observed, whose practices focus on a narrow branch of medicine, shadowing in the ER has allowed me to familiarize myself with pathologies affecting all body systems. Furthermore, having frequent shifts in the ER, I've been able to transition from a passive observer to an active contributor; I now recognize how certain ailments present, and can intelligently discuss possible diagnoses with my mentoring physician. This experience has enabled me to learn about the human body instead of just the specialty itself.
In 2006, I served as a stock controller for the largest warehouse in Iraq and the second largest in the combat theater. I started working as a Medical Technologist in 2008 for White County Memorial Hospital in Monticello. In 2010 I also started working at the Unity Immediate Care center.
My job shadowing experience went very well. I went to Monroe County and did my job shadow at Promedica Hospital. I went alone and got introduced to a Nurse named Cindy. I saw her do very cool things as a Nurse. She often refferred to a paper with the patients history of problems and she grabbed things they needed for tests for the patients well-being.
