The novel, Charles A. Lindbergh: Lone Eagle, is a biographical novel about the life of Charles and how he became a hero by flying over the Atlantic Ocean. It starts from the beginning of his life and talks about the success and hardship he had to face throughout his life. This book was written to show how being called a hero can have its negatives. The book shows how Charles struggled to accept the role as a hero and how he tarnished his figure to the public over time, and went into depression.
Moreover, I have attempted to live my life in the same manner. At an early age, I learned the importance of academic excellence, integrity, leadership, and community service. My goals here at Alcorn include a BS in Elementary Education. I believe that this will help me give back to my community, improve my school district and become a better, well-rounded
The world, as well as ourselves, can become confident. I will encourage scholarship, leadership, and good citizenship with my school and community. With my hardwork, not only shall I benefit, but all that I help shall be benefited as well.
I plan on volunteering for many different organizations, that I am both currently working with, and plan to. For example, I participate in volunteer events for Special Olympic games, The Everett Theater, and St. Joseph’s Parish. By helping
Every week I spend time at the Morristown Medical Center as a volunteer, where I am able to help keep things functioning in the hospital at the highest speed possible and hopefully brighten a few patients’ days. Also, I’ve enjoyed helping refereeing youth basketball games for the past two seasons and being able to talk with the kids. It is a great opportunity to give back to a program which gave me so much in the five years I played in it when I was younger. Furthermore, I am excited for even more opportunities to have an impact on my community which being a part of National Honor Society would aid in.
I hope to bring diversity to all who walk on the campus. My background has shaped me into the intelligent African American woman I am today. Without growing up in the “hood”, I may have not been able to find the best career that interested me. I also would not have been able over all the challenges thrown at me. Instead I remained determined and motivated so that I was able to achieve all of the goals set before me.

I have also received first or highest honors with all progress reports. During this year, so far, my lowest grade was a ninety-five. Even with these outstanding academic achievements, I still want to make a difference in the world. Within the last couple of years, I played with a group for The Salvation Army in order to raise money around Christmas time for the less fortunate. I am part of the marching band which is a large commitment, but my participation in all activities done by the band shows my enjoyment and dedication in this co-curricular activity.
I will make sure to do my part by leading by example, serving my community and school, staying true to myself, and performing in school to the best of my ability. It would be an honor to be a part of such an extraordinary program in which I can better myself and my community. At the end of the day, my foremost motive in school is to progress. Throughout my high school career, I was forced into many situations where I was challenged to connect with my peers and serve as a role model for future students. Whether it be my involvement in the school marching band, or helping students in community tutoring sessions, I have always made it my goal to better the people around me through my own efforts. Throughout my high school career, I have put forth my best effort to connect with my peers, transform individuals, and make a difference in my community. Joining the school marching band at the beginning of my freshman year of high school was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
