EDUCATION: He Graduated from Duchess County Community College in 1976. EMPLOYMENT: Upon graduation, he went to work for my father as a Dental Technician in his Dental Laboratory. (He had also worked there on his summer breaks from college.) He was employed there for at least 15 years. Subsequently, he did have a couple of other brief periods of employment, at Office Supply Stores, but they were short lived, due to his erratic behavior. MENTAL HEALTH HSTORY: I remember there were at least 2 times during his 20s/early 30s where he was institutionalized, once at Hutchings Psychiatric Center and once at Benjamin Rush Center. Stephen likes to spend time there and enjoys helping with the care of the horses, it gives him a sense of purpose. The owners are kind and tolerant and see that spending time with the animals is good for Stephen so they make him feel as if he is a part of the stable. They may ask him to ride with them when they go to pick up a horse at another stable or let him pitch in when they are loading the stalls with hay. But there are times when Stephen’s behavior is so disruptive and upsetting to client’s who board and train their horses at the stable, that the owners have to ask him to stay away for a few weeks of months until he can settle himself. Stephen believes he is part of a classified government program where he is being groomed to become a super-human horse trainer. He believes that as a part of this program, government agents come into his bedroom at night to transfuse his blood with a nuclear/chemical formula that gives him the super-human power he needs to fulfill this mission. He also believes this “program” gives him government authority. He regularly writes letters to government officials, and if someone upsets him he has been know to call government agencies and report imagined incidents. The worst of which was when he was angry with our younger brother and reported that he was abusive to his
