If 80-85% of the sunlight was blocked not enough energy would come to the producers and they would slowly die from lack of energy. A short term effect on the earth worm is probably that it would b out more often since the heat of the son is gone however long term they would die since the plants they eat would not survive. For a shark at first the water would begin to be polluted from the ash and they would start to die off and eventually their population would dwindle because their food source would not be able to reproduce fast enough. Maple trees and saguaro cactuses would begin to die because of the lack energy right off the bat and if this continued we might not see anymore of those plants. A teenager would not know when it is day or night now and eventually food would run out and we would be in the apocalypse.
