An economy that is good is very important in a country. In 1929, on the last day of trading, President Hoover did announce that the economy of United States was fundamentally sound. This announcement made the Department of labor in United States to predict that in the next year, 1930, there would be an increase in the number of employments. Things did not go as expected because the economy became bad. This made most investors and even the public in general, withdraw their money from banks because they feared banks would get out of business.
The 1900’s were a revolutionary century for American Agriculture thanks to the improvement of industrial technology and other advances in the field. The industrial technology ranged from many things, but machines had now given way for a decrease in manpower on the farms. Technology increased hugely over the years but the prices were outrageous to the agriculture society. Because farmers could not afford anything, they lived in poor conditions. Although the farmers were the “front-face” of the society and provided everything for the country, people were forgetting about the, and they were not being represented enough in the government and its policy.

When the economy doesn’t do so good it seems like the prices on everything goes up. For example the biggest, most recent economy crash happened during 2008-09 the economy went down and the prices for food, and gas all went up. People were even losing their houses. But the economy crash that a lot of people remember the most one is the great depression that happened during the 1930s. It all was the result of the stock market crashing that made a lot of people to lose their money that they had in stocks when it crashed everyone that had money invested in stocks lost it all.
Persepolis doesn 't portray just one theme, but multiple. Including the themes such as revolution, imperialism, and nationalism. There were also other themes such as loss of innocence and danger. The main character isn’t just another girl who lived in Iran during the war. She was 10 years old when the war began, but unlike a common 10 year old, she cared about what was going on in her country.
