He is well known for his poems also known as “The Raven” and “Annabel Lee”. Edgar Allen Poe was a writer, poet, and an editor that influenced not only American literature but also on international literature. In his early years when he was only three years old his father abandoned the family leaving Edgar and his older brother alone with their mother, Elizabeth.
