Edgar Allan Poe was a creative writer, poet, and editor. He was misunderstood but, loved by many people. I think that his personal life helped him become the amazing writer he was. He inspires me because his poems and stories are captivating and interesting. His stories are on many different topics. He is a major figure in world literature. Edgar was born on January 19th, 1809 in Boston, Massachusetts. His occupation was a writer, poet, and editor. He went to the University of Virginia and the U.S Military Academy at West Point. He died on October 7th, 1949 in Baltimore, Maryland. Edgar never really knew his parents. His mother passed away when he was three and his father left early on. He went to live with John and Frances Allan. Poe's first published book was “Tamerlane and other poems” in 1827. …show more content…
Lots of them can be eerie and creepy. A quote from “The Landscape Garden”,a poem is about human beauty. “No pictorial or sculptural combinations of points of human loveliness, do more than approach the living and breathing human beauty as it gladdens our daily path.” A Lot of his quotes are based off of his poems and stories. Many of his stories and poems are popular but, one of them is “The Raven.” “Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary, over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore, while I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping, as if some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.” This poem is about a raven visiting the
