C: Around 1827, shortly after his first book was published, he joined the U.S military academy at West Point. Poe attended West Point for a year, before being kicked out for his poor handling of his duties. After leaving West point, Poe published his third book and focused on full-time writing.
III: Beginning of career/ impact on the world
A: Poe was influenced by John and Frances Valentine Allan, who took him in as family after he had no more parents to take care of him. Allan and Poe got along very well, as they both went to West Point and this also may have influenced Poe’s impact on the world.
B: After being kicked out from West Point, Poe had started his career as an editor and later moved on to be a writing critique. His first field of being famous was when one of his short stories won a contest.
C: According to biography.com, “Poe had lived in poverty for most of his life, and despite his success and popularity, he’d faced financial struggles.” Despite these challenges, he’d worked the most for higher wages for writers to overcome this.
