That someone has a loved one in trouble, but that someone needs to use that choice. That someone must choose to send the most important person in their life to an instant, gory death, or instead they can send them to someone else that someone despised instead, forever.
Narrative of Fear Edgar Allen Poe and Lord Byron are masterful at using vivid, descriptive language language to develop the element of Gothic literature and instil a sense of fear in the reader. Poe, who wrote the Cask of Amontillado, used sentences to put fear in the reader. He wrote, “Fortunato 's low moaning cry from the depth of the recess,” and, “ The walls had been lined with human remains piled to the vault overhead.” These sentences indicate that someone is crying and is in a crypt like structure due to the walls being piled with bones.
Edgar Allan Poe was a depressed man. This is shown in the Raven and Poe states, “Ghastly grim and ancient Raven wandering from the Nightly shore —” To summarize, this quote is about how the main character in “The Raven” is depressed and alone. Since the main character is depressed, it reflects upon Edgar Allan Poe because he wrote about this with such deep meaning. Also, Edgar Allan Poe states in “The Raven”, “And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, ‘Lenore?’ This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, ‘Lenore!’
In the story, "The Lady or the Tiger? ," I believe that the princess chose the door with the tiger behind it due to her jealousy of the beautiful princess. She is selfish, and doesn't want anyone else having her man. Also, her father does not approve of her relationship with her lover anyway, for he is not a prince.
Now a renowned poet, most famous for works such as “The Raven” and “The Tell-Tale Heart,” Edgar Allan Poe continues his legacy to modern times since death and a harsh and unforgiving childhood. His misfortunes carried on to early adulthood, and possibly further. People see the negativity and darkness in Poe’s lifetime through his many sensational works that continue to influence many across the globe. Although Poe’s childhood composed of deaths of his loved ones, poverty, and abandonment, he made a debut as a writer and soon collected praise from the people.

Insanity is a common theme throughout Edgar Allen Poe’s body of work. Though it creates interesting characters and situations, it also makes us wonder how much of the story that the narrator is telling us is actually true. In The_Black_Cat, William_Wilson, and The_Raven, the narrators seem to be speaking the truth that they believe. However the narrator -in each story- also appears to get a few details wrong, most likely because of their unwell state.
The Raven was not only a story about Poe's early childhood but was also how poetry had affected his life. Poe wrote The Raven not just to start writing but to show how his life originally started out hard and then he never gave up and now he has become a successful poet. Edgar's parents had died when he was at a early age and he had been adopted by a really nice adoptive mom but his adoptive dad was really mean and was a drunk. His adoptive parents were not any better then the way his real parents were.

Edgar had many struggles and this statement is a perfect inference for why he has had struggles. His first father had abandoned his family and his foster father did not want to support him when he needed the support the most becasue Edgar wanted to be a writer and he wanted him to be a businessman leading to financial struggles

Poe terrifies readers with gloomy settings and terrifying characters that paint the picture of his unfortunate life. Readers are dragged along dreadfully anticipating what awful fiend or daunting place will represent Poe’s misfortune next. Edgar Allan Poe uses dark and mysterious settings, unknown and mentally unstable narrators, and horrifying characters and demons to create suspense and build anticipation. Poe sets the mood of anticipation through a setting shrouded in darkness and mystery, never quite revealing the narrator’s circumstances.
Authors create suspense by making the reader feel something wrong is going to happen in their novel. Some authors that do that are Edgar Allan Poe and Cathy Crawford in their stories, “The Tell-Tale Heart¨, and “The Pedestrian¨. Edgar Allan Poe uses suspense in his story, “The Tell-Tale Heart¨ when the old man the narrator is trying to kill wakes up and does not go back to sleep. “I had my head in, and was about to open the lantern, when my thumb slipped upon the tin fastening, and the old man sprang up in the bed, crying out-¨Who 's there?¨ (Poe, 356). This tells you how he adds suspense because after this happened, they were just staying still for a while waiting for another sound to be made.

He was born to famous actors David Poe, Jr and beautiful Elizabeth Arnold Hopkins Poe. He had an older brother named William Henry Poe and a young sister named Rosalie Poe.
Compare/Contrast paragraph Edgar Allan Poe’s stories “The Black Cat” and “The Tell-Tale Heart” have similarities and differences. Some of the similarities are in the way the story was told and the narrators’ mindset. As a beginning, the stories have lots of common things in the way they were told. They are both written in first-person point of view and they both start from the prison. For example the main character in “The Black Cat” said “My immediate purpose is to place before the world, plainly, succinctly, and without comment, a series of mere household events.
